Commod Pro Modeling Calculations: How to Avoid Spurious Output in the OPO+DFM Configuration

We demonstrate the utility of Commod Pro (CP) software to solve a practical problem in nonlinear optics. The addition of a difference mixing nonlinear crystal into an OPO cavity is becoming a useful technique to greatly improve three wave mixing OPO efficiency using nonlinear crystals.  However, if two separate periodically poled ferroelectric crystals are used, the possibility exists for spurious unwanted output to be generated. We demonstrate in this brief report how CP can be used to determine what cavity mirror reflectivity values are required to avoid generation of unwanted spurious output.
